Minister Of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Ensures Ojol Does Not Enter The Scope Of THR Rules
JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said online transportation workers (ojol) were not included in the applicable regulations regarding the provision of holiday allowances (THR) for workers because they had partnership work relationships.
Ida explained that the rules related to the provision of THR were in the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016 concerning Religious Holiday Allowances for Workers/Labourers in Companies.
"In this Permenaker, it is stated that they have a working relationship based on PKWT and PKWTT. Later there will be a relationship with the payment or provision of THR for ojol workers, according to the Minister of Manpower, this is not included in the scope regulated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2016," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.
On the same occasion, the Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security (PHI and Jamsos) of the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, stated that she had coordinated with application companies and online transportation workers regarding the THR appeal.
Although it is not included in the category of Certain Time Work Agreements (PKWT) and Uncertain Time Work Agreements (PKWTT) that receive THR, his party appealed to the provision of THR to transportation workers and online couriers who have partnership relationships.
"The nature is that the appeal is not mandatory, the second is that actually since two years ago after COVID-19 the applicator company and the courier company have provided various, say, incentives and conveniences for ojol and couriers. The form is not money that is unanimously received monthly," said Indah.
