Gerindra Considers Hasto's Argument About 'Bansos Effect' Like Grandmas
JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party responded to the statement by the Secretary General of PDIP Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto who said that Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's victory was due to the effect of social assistance or bansoseffect.
Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, considers the arguments without evidence made by Hasto to be like a joke from his grandmothers. He also asked Hasto, who is a candidate for president and vice presidential candidate, to lose in the 2024 presidential election to move on.
"I don't understand, Mr. Hasto, maybe this is one of a handful of elites who have not moved on, what is the problem in his heart, because the narratives Mr. Hasto conveyed are narratives without evidence," said Habiburokhman, Tuesday, March 26.
However, the deputy chairman of Commission III of the DPR respects the narrative conveyed by Hasto. Although the narrative that is echoed is always without strong arguments such as the screening of grandmothers.
"But it's okay, we respect our grandmothers, we respect whatever it is, Mr. Hasto, we respect our grandmothers," said Habiburokhman.

Previously, the Secretary General of the PDI-P, Hasto Kristiyanto, believed that there was no 'Jokowi Effect' or electoral effect given by President Joko Widodo in the 2024 General Election. In fact, according to him, there are many effects of abuse of power, one of which is the reckless provision of social assistance.
"So, what exists is not Jokowi Effect but the social assistance effect, the use of the state apparatus effect, intimidation effect, that's what happened," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, March 25.
Hasto said that the PDI-P could still win the most votes and win a hat trick even though it was on the road with Jokowi.
He also gave an example of evidence that there was no Jokowi Effect because the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) failed to qualify for the DPR even though it was led by Jokowi's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep.
"The proof is that PSI also did not pass the election even though from reliable sources, various efforts have been made to pass it," said Hasto.
