Danamon Launches QRIS With Sources Of Funds From Credit Cards

JAKARTA - PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon) has launched a new feature that allows customers to make QRIS payments using Danamon credit card sources through the D-Bank PRO mobile banking application.

Chief Digital Officer of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk Andreas Kurniawan believes that the latest feature will further strengthen the position of D-Bank PRO, especially among the younger generation. He added that his party also always strives to be innovative in meeting the needs of Danamon customers' digital transactions.

"In addition, this feature development effort is also a form of our support for the Bank Indonesia program with the Indonesian Payment Systems Association (ASPI) which encourages the use of QRIS as an easier digital payment and can be monitored by regulators from one door," Andreas said in a statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 26.

Meanwhile, Consumer Lending Business Head of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk Enriko Sutarto said that the company understands the importance of flexibility and security in every transaction.

With the new D-Bank PRO mobile banking feature, the company hopes to provide a transaction experience that is not only safer but also comfortable for credit card users.

"Now, it is more practical for customers to make transactions without the need to remove their credit cards from their wallets, especially for shopping with a small nominal or transaction at merchants who do not have EDC," he said.

According to the company, this feature innovation in mobile banking is part of Danamon's commitment to providing financial solutions that suit customer needs to achieve its financial goals. Danamon hopes to attract the hearts of the people more, especially the younger generation who prioritize ease and flexibility in daily transactions.

The company views that this commitment is also in line with the results of research by Jakpat in 2023 which shows that 45 percent of the 1,500 respondents chose mobile banking or internet banking for digital payments, with 46 percent of them coming from the millennial generation and 31 percent from Gen Z.

Danamon said that the QRIS payment feature with credit card sources at D-Bank PRO provides easy transactions for customers by only scanning (scan) QRIS merchants and selecting credit cards as a source of funds, then entering transaction nominal and mPIN and transactions were successfully carried out.

The launch of this feature is also Danamon's step in in integrating its services with a wider digital ecosystem. By utilizing QRIS technology, Danamon ensures that customers can make transactions at various merchants easily and safely.

On the other hand, the company said that it also pays close attention to security aspects in every digital transaction. QRIS payment features with credit cards are equipped with various layers of security, including mPIN authentication and real-time transaction monitoring systems, to ensure that every transaction is safe from the risk of fraud or abuse.
