4 Men In Minahasa Are Desperate To Lift The Fiber Optical Pole During The Day So They Are Not Suspected
MANADO - The Resmob Team of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the North Sulawesi Police (Sulut) arrested a gang of thieves with fiber optic network poles in the jurisdiction of the regional police.Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Michael Irwan Thamsil, said the perpetrators who were arrested were four men, each with the initials JS (34), JL (26), YK (37), and JT (23)."The four residents of Minahasa Regency were arrested while in action in Sawangan Kamanta Village, Tombulu District, Minahasa Regency,” he said in Manado, Antara, Monday, March 25.The modus operandi of the perpetrators was to remove the fiber optic network pole belonging to a company during the day so that it is not suspected by citizens."If there are residents who ask, they reasoned that they will move the poles to another location," he said.According to him, the perpetrators took action at around 15.00 WITA and were suspected by residents and then reported to the North Sulawesi Police Resmob Team, which was responded by visiting the crime scene (TKP) in Sawangan Village, Kamanta."The information about the residents is true. As soon as they arrived at the TKP, the team found that the four perpetrators were removing the pole of the fiber optic network, then securing the four of them along with a number of evidences," he said.He said the evidence that was secured from the perpetrators included one crowbar, one tang, one ladder, 20 fiber optic network poles, and one pick-up car."It is suspected that the stolen goods will be sold to a company in the Manado City area," he said.
Meanwhile, the North Sulawesi Regional Police's Dirreskrimum Kombes Gani Siahaan added that the perpetrators and the evidence had been secured at the North Sulawesi Police Headquarters for further legal proceedings.
