Ministry Of Industry: The Government Will Pay Debts For The Difference In Cooking Oil Prices To Entrepreneurs
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry said the government would pay debts of price difference or "mafaction" of cooking oil to entrepreneurs in the sector.
The Director General of Agro Industry at the Ministry of Industry, Putu Juli Ardika, in Jakarta, Monday, March 25, said the decision was based on a meeting held with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves), as well as other agencies related to the settlement of the Rafaction debt.
"Earlier it was agreed and determined by the Coordinating Minister like that," he said, quoted from Antara.
He said the realization of the time to settle the difference in cooking oil debt could not be ascertained, but even so, according to him, the completion of the reaction could be better if realized in the near future. "The sooner, the better,"
According to him, the decision to pay the Rafaction was also based on input from the Attorney General's Office, the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), and other agencies related to the payment of the Rafaction.
"So based on input from the Attorney General's Office, BPDPKS and all'stakeholders'," he said.
Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan emphasized the government's commitment to fulfill debt payments for the difference in price or the exchange of cooking oil to traders.

"We all government officials must remember the traders, if this is the case, it's a pity for the traders. This should be his capital, so it stops turning around. That also has a decent impact. We have to understand that, they also have limited capital," said Luhut while chairing the Coordination Meeting for Payment of Cooking Oil Ratifications in Jakarta, Monday.
On this occasion, Coordinating Minister Luhut asked for confirmation from the Attorney General's Office regarding the legal aspect of the obligation to pay off the government debt.
