The DKI Provincial Government's Free Homecoming Quota Is Full, Residents Protest

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency confirmed that the quota for free homecoming registrants organized by the DKI Provincial Government is full. This quota has reached its limit after the registration period is open for 4 days.

The quota of travelers prepared is 18,760 people for homecoming and return home. The number of free homecoming quotas for homecoming flows is 10,360 passengers and backflow is 8,400 passengers.

"The quota for free homecoming for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in 2024 has run out. Thank you for the enthusiasm of the people of DKI Jakarta in the registration of free homecoming for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in 2024," wrote the DKI Transportation Agency statement on the Dishubdkijakarta Instagram page, quoted on Sunday, March 24.

DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency apologizes to residents of DKI Jakarta who have not had the opportunity to participate in the free homecoming program.

"Dishub friends who have successfully registered can immediately attend the Verification location according to the predetermined schedule. We are currently conducting a verification process. If there is still a quota, registration will be reopened," he said.

The closure of registration due to this full quota has drawn protests by residents on social media. Many netizens complain that they have difficulty registering because registration access on the DKI Transportation Agency website is running slowly. Thus, they missed the opportunity to register earlier.

"It's hard to log in, suddenly (the registration quota) has run out," wrote the oliffaifa account.

"I did too. I managed to get the registration id, it was my turn to validate the data, zonk. The data was not recorded by the system. It was very sad to stay up late for days. It was your turn to get it, it was still being pranked again," said the Pujindewi958 account.

"Can't register, why did it suddenly run out? Who did you end up with?", said the wandanovic account.

Just like last year, free homecoming was held with departures for 19 cities in 6 provinces covering South Sumatra, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, and East Java.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has set a homecoming departure date from Jakarta on April 4, 2024 at the National Monument (Monas) and returned to Jakarta on April 14, 2024, from 19 terminals to Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal.

The DKI Provincial Government also provides homecoming transport trucks for motorcyclists. The transport truck departed from Jakarta on April 3, 2024 from the Pulogadung Terminal. Then, the truck returned to Jakarta on April 13, 2024, from the 7 terminals to the Pulogadung Terminal.

Pendaftaran dilakukan secara online di https://mudikgratis.jakarta.go.id. Pendaftaran akan ditutup apabia kuota telah terpenuhi.

Free homecoming registrants must include the necessary administrative completeness, namely the Family Card (KK), DKI Jakarta ID card (privileged), and STNK (when carrying a motorbike), each registrant can add a maximum of 3 family members in 1 Family Card (KK).

After successfully registering, the prospective participants verified by bringing a photocopy of administrative completeness to the nearest verification location.
