Bekasi Regency Government Speeds Up Repair Of Homecoming Routes To Complete D-10 Lebaran
JAKARTA - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java is targeting the repair work on the homecoming route to be completed on D-10 Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri as a supporter of this year's smooth homecoming flow.
Bekasi Regent Dani Ramdan said the repair work in question has now begun to be carried out on the Kalimalang Inspection Road which is an alternative route for travelers, especially two-wheeled riders from Jakarta to the east.
"There are two sections of the homecoming route, the national road route is the responsibility of the central government, while we have an obligation to make improvements to the Kalimalang alternative route," he quoted ntara as saying.
He said road repairs were carried out along Jalan Inspeksi Kalimalang from the border area with Bekasi City to Karawang Regency at the point of potholes to those that were badly damaged.
"There are about 10 points of the Kalimalang Road which are damaged because of that we are making repairs," he said.
A total repair by dismantling the concrete of the road using heavy equipment was carried out at a point that was badly damaged while patchwork work at the point of minor damage.
Dani hopes that this road repair can improve the safety and comfort of road users, including during the Lebaran homecoming as well as prevent traffic accidents.

"I also advise travelers to prepare for trips, make sure the condition of the body and vehicle is in prime condition, if you are sleepy, don't force it, rest at the homecoming posts that we will prepare," he said.
Head of the Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development Office of Bekasi Regency Henri Lincoln has allocated a budget of Rp120 billion for repairs to the Kalimalang Inspection Road this year, including road points that travelers will cross.
"This improvement aims to make the mostly travelers riding motorbikes feel more comfortable and avoid traffic accidents," he said.
