Jubaedah's Mother Is Reflecting On Her Smiles In The Poor Village

JAKARTA - PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) held a breaking of the media 'Live On Ramadan' together with superior customers Mekaar. As a sustainable effort to strengthen the people's economy and empowerment, PNM Mekaar (Building a Prosperous Family Economy) plays an important role in encouraging innovation, creating opportunities and realizing the dream of growing and developing together for customers throughout the country.

The Rajungan Mama Muda by Mrs. Rita is one of many examples of products fostered by PNM Mekaar Makassar branch which has been reviewed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. At the last Live on Ramadan event, Rita's mother told how she started her business and also felt when her product received praise. "Initially making crab chips due to COVID-19, many crabs were not purchased and also exported. So I got input to try to start a business with quite abundant materials," said Rita's mother at the Live On Ramadan event, quoted on Friday, March 22.

"My feeling when I received praise from the President of the Republic of Indonesia was certainly happy and touched. At that time there were 60 selected MSMEs participating in the event attended by the president but only 2 were chosen by you to be brought. All this was thanks to PNM," continued Rita's mother.

Apart from Rita's mother, there is also a representative of PNM Mekaar's Bekasi Branch, Mrs. Jubaedah, with the products of Poor, Luxury Flavor Chips. With a unique name, Jubaedah's mother said that the basic ingredients used by these crackers are safe to consume by people with stomach acid. "Mama started this business because at that time, Mama's village was one of the 9 categories poor villages. 3 of them did not have MSMEs, lack of health facilities, then lacked educational facilities. So Ma Edah was encouraged to make a business with not too expensive capital and could invite the elderly to remain productive. At that time, Ma Edah was told by PNM and neighbors, apart from providing capital, but PNM also helped in the problem of corruption licensing," he explained.

Throughout January to February 2024, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) recorded that it had distributed financing of IDR 12.5 trillion.

The opening event with the media 'Live On Ramadan' was also attended by the President Director of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani, Mr. Arief Mulyadi.

"As of February, there were Rp. 12.5 trillion in two months, January and February," said PNM President Director Arief Mulyadi after the live on Ramadan media breaking ceremony.

In terms of expansion, Arief said, his party is exploring embracing young customers by utilizing the existence of the younger generation. He explained that currently the Mekaar ecosystem has become its own strength, present in 6,165 sub-districts with 15.2 million active customers and 435 regencies/cities.

"With different geography and demographics, there must be a youth ecosystem that can accompany these mothers and of course we can embrace. Even if it wasn't us who did it, we would cooperate with other financial institutions, it could be the closest to our holdings BRI and Pegadaian," he added.

PNM is a well-being financing institution and female companion in Indonesia through the ultra micro business sector.
