Sri Mulyani Calls SPT 2023 Reporting Up 7.7 Percent Compared To 2022
JAKARTA - Reports of Annual Income Tax Returns (PPh) on Individual Taxpayers for the Year of Taxes 2023 increased compared to the 2022 fiscal year.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani detailed that as of Thursday, March 21 evening, 9,601,041 Taxpayers Taxpayers of Private People had entered the data of the Directorate General of Taxes or an increase of 7.7 percent or 686,980 SPT when compared to the same day in 2023 as many as 8,914,061 SPT.
"This is a good thing and we, from the side of the Ministry of Finance, the Directorate General of Taxes, would like to thank all people who have reported the above income taxless SPT," Sri Mulyani said quoting Antara.
The Minister of Finance explained that the deadline for submitting SPT Annual PPh for individuals for the 2023 Tax Year falls on March 31, 2024, based on the provisions in the Law on General Provisions and Tax Procedures (KUP).
That way taxpayers still have up to the next nine days to submit SPT Annual PPh for Personal People for the Year of Tax 2023.
The Minister of Finance stated that socialization and education will continue, including the submission of SPT carried out by President Joko Widodo and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance has asked all tax offices and tax offices (kanwil) to open operations to provide services.

"Usually before the end of the month we are overtime and open. We remind them, convey and 'encourage' the community to fulfill their tax obligations properly," said the Minister of Finance.
He added that to strengthen public trust in tax reporting, the Ministry of Finance continues to increase awareness regarding the tax fraud mode (fraud).
Therefore, the Minister of Finance emphasized that taxes are people's money that must be managed properly and return to the community in the form of development.
