Losing To The Indonesian National Team, Vietnam Coach Betekad Takes Revenge At Home

JAKARTA - Vietnam must receive a bitter result because it lost 0-1 in the away match against the Indonesian national team. Furthermore, Philippe Troussier as coach of The Golder Star promised his team will take revenge at home.

Vietnam faces the Indonesian national team at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, on Thursday, March 21, 2024, WIB night. This meeting is the second round of the Asian Zone 2026 World Cup Qualification match.

After traveling to Jakarta, Vietnam will have its turn to appear host on March 26, 2024. Troussier is enthusiastic and will make that moment to turn things around.

"Of course we are in the process because we will face the Indonesian national team twice. This opens up our opportunities to get three points in the match later," Philippe Troussier said in a press conference after the match.

"I am very sure that in the match later in Hanou we will get three points. I am still positive," he said.

Judging by the big target of winning at home, Troussier asked his team to focus on preparing themselves. He also made the match in Indonesia an evaluation material.

"That's why we have to keep our concentration. However, the attitude of the players must not change, must remain enthusiastic, and evaluate themselves, such as being more efficient and good in the future," said the 68-year-old coach.

In order to realize the target of winning at home, Troussier is not only going to improve the team. He also hopes for full support from The Golden Star supporters who will flood My Dinh Stadium like the supporters of the Indonesian national team at SUGBK.

"I hope Hanoi will have an atmosphere like this. They (supporters) can do the same thing as the Indonesian national team fans here. Support my players from the start of the match," said Troussier.
