Considered Difficult, The English Language Test For Recruitment With SOEs Evaluated

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) evaluated the English test for this year's BUMN Joint Recruitment (RBB).

The evaluation of the language test was carried out based on complaints and input from RBB participants last year.

Secretary General of the FHCI BUMN, Dharma Syahputra admitted that he had been given a note by the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, to make adjustments to the 2024 RBB English test.

"But yesterday on the Minister's note, we made adjustments. Hopefully this year's experience will be better," Dharma said at a press conference at the Media Center of the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Friday, March 22.

Furthermore, Dharma admitted that his party accommodated and paid attention to these complaints.

"English, we really pay attention to inputs that are crowded with friends in the media, which say it is very difficult and so on," said Dharma.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the FHCI BUMN Alexandra Askandar said that although the English test was adjusted, the standard regarding the RBB English test this year would not be lowered.

Furthermore, Alexandra said that her party still refers to English tests from international institutions, and adjusts the needs of SOEs.

"For English, we will certainly look back, but that doesn't mean we will lower the standard. Because we use benchmarks," said Alexandra.

According to Alexandra, the English test is common, and is not only carried out in the Joint BUMN Recruitment test.

"Because speaking English is something that is common in nature, not just in the RBB test," said Alexandra.

For your information, registration for the 2024 BUMN Joint Recruitment (RBB) will open tomorrow, Saturday, March 23.
