Reluctant To Congratulate Prabowo-Gibran, Anies: We Watch There Are Many Problems
JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar have not congratulated Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the presidential and vice-presidential candidates who won the results of the 2024 presidential election votes.
Anies also explained the reason. Anies said that his party still believes that the current election results are problematic because they are passed by the implementation stage which is colored by allegations of fraud.
"What we experienced, we witnessed it, and witnessed by several many media witnesses. From the aspects of policy, rules, to execution, there were many problems," said Anies at the AMIN National Team Winning Headquarters, Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 21.
This belief is the basis of Anies-Muhaimin's decision to sue the results of the presidential election vote to the Constitutional Court (MK). Anies hopes that the Constitutional Court will grant the dispute request and correct the election results.
"So this is not just a matter of protocol, a protocol regarding words (or) no (congratulations). Not there. But this is in substance, how the process can be improved and we hope that the quality will be better," explained Anies.
On the one hand, Anies admits that he respects the political decision of the party that carries him as a presidential candidate, the NasDem Party, which has received the results of the 2024 General Election, including Prabowo-Gibran's victory.
