Jokowi Appreciates KPU Performance In Completing Election Recapitulation On Time

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo appreciated the performance of the General Election Commission (KPU) and the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) for successfully completing the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election counting.

"We should be grateful that the process of calculating, recapitulation and vote counting processes last night was completed by the KPU. I really appreciate it, appreciate the existing processes and the hard work of the KPU, Bawaslu, we should appreciate it so that everything went well and on time," said Jokowi after reviewing Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie Hospital, Pontianak City, West Kalimantan, Thursday, March 21.

Previously, the KPU had completed the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election votes set out at the Plenary Meeting for the Determination of the Recapitulation of the Results of the National Election Calculation of 2024.

"Today, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, the KPU has held a Plenary Meeting on the Determination of the Recapitulation of the 2024 National Election Calculation Results," said KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari.

The determination is stated in KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination of the results of the General Election of the President and Vice President, Members of the House of Representatives, Regional Representative Council, Provincial Regional House of Representatives, and National Regional House of Representatives/City in the 2024 General Election.

In accordance with KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.
