OIKN: Building Maintenance At IKN Will Be Done Starting In 2025

The Capital Authority of the Archipelago (OIKN) revealed that next year building maintenance will begin in Nusantara, East Kalimantan.

OIKN Head Bambang Susantono said that 2025 will be the most crucial year because the management of buildings and buildings in IKN is not like ordinary buildings in general, but uses special standards.

"Next year is the most crucial for us. These buildings are not ordinary buildings because we have special standards as smart buildings and buildings that are very compact with several environmental principles," said Bambang in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 21.

Attachment to Presidential Regulation Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the Main Plan for the Capital City of the Archipelago states that the development of the area within the capital city of the archipelago is based on eight development principles that prioritize harmonious relations between humans, nature, technology, and the environment as a complete unity.

The planning and construction of the Prophet of the City of Nusantara is based on the rules of sustainable livelihood to maintain the ecological balance of nature, the environment is built, and social systems that prioritize the principles of gender equality and social inclusion to ensure that all parties including women, children, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities can be involved and receive benefits from each development program.

In addition, the plan to build the capital city of Nusantara is also based on reducing the risk of climate change and disasters.

The basic principle of regional development in the capital city of Nusantara combines three urban development concepts, namely the capital city of Nusantara as a forest city, a sponge city, and a smart city.

The National Capital City has a central function and is a symbol of national identity to show the identity of the nation and state, and an overview of the future of the Indonesian nation.

The transfer of the State Capital to Kalimantan is in line with efforts to realize more inclusive and equitable economic growth, one of which is by building a new center of economic gravity in the midst of Indonesia.

Therefore, the new State Capital needs to be planned and built with new higher standards, quality, adaptive, innovative, gender and inclusive 'fair, sustainable, and dignified.
