Innovative In The Logistics Sector, JBL Launches The Use Of Electric Trucks To Serve Partners
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Berdikari Logistics Tbk (JBL) launched an innovative business strategy in the logistics services sector by implementing the use of electric truck fleets that are in line with the Company's efforts to increase efficiency and provide excellent service to customer partners.
Today, Wednesday, March 20, JBL as an integrated logistics service company officially announced the trial of using electric trucks as a mode of transportation for the distribution of customer property. This proactive step of the Company is at the same time responding to the trend of using environmentally friendly technology and the go green lifestyle.
"This launch will be a special moment where JBL is the pioneer of the latest technological recognition and innovation in the electric vehicle sector for the logistics services sector in Indonesia," said Commissioner of PT Jasa Berdikari Logistics Tbk, Dimas Teguh Mulyanto in Cikarang, West Java in an event entitled "JBL Advances Towards Evolution of Logistics Free Emissions with Electric Trucks".
In the early stages of testing the use of electric trucks, the company with stock ticker IDX: This LAJU will operate two fleet units. Currently, the Company has a conventional truck fleet of 470 units and by the end of 2030 the total fleet is projected to reach 1,000 units, the majority of which will use an environmentally friendly fleet (electric truck).
"Today's launch is an early stage to get to know the level of efficiency and effectiveness of electric trucks. The addition of an electric fleet will continue, because we are consistent in providing and offering excellent service to customers," he explained.
He conveyed that currently LAJU customers are well-known companies in the FMCG retail sector. Dimas believes that logistics service using environmentally friendly electric trucks will have a positive impact on customers, for the Company and even the general public.
