Peugeot E-5008 Officially Launches, Sturdy Design And Impressive Distance

JAKARTA: The long-awaited large SUV model, Peugeot E-5008, was finally officially introduced with impressive travel distances.

Reporting from the brand's official website on Wednesday, March 20, the model was built on the STLA Medium Stellantis platform, offering a legacy space with a length of 4,790 mm, a width of 1,890 mm, a height of 1,690 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.

With a sturdy force and a dynamic silhouette, Peugeot E-5008 displays a rear glass slope with side design elements, while the front presents the latest sophisticated and elegant lighting and grip with striking black accents.

Ultra-compact LED lights are also a standard feature in all variants, while 19-inch and 20-inch rims contribute to aerodynamic performance.

Inside, the SUV is equipped with a 21-inch Panoramic i-Cockpit floating screen that runs from the left side of the dashboard to the center console. The ambient lighting highlights the floating effect, while the i-Connect feature of the standard Peugeot i-Connect on the Allure version offers complete connectivity with the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other features include i-Connect Advanced on GT's version, featuring high-performance navigation with TomTom technology and 'OK, PEUGEOT' voice recognition to access cabin tuning such as air conditioning, heating, infotainment, and telephone.

With the STLA Medium platform, Peugeot E-5008 can offer a number of powertrains, ranging from single electric motors with 211 dk with a 73 kWh battery for a distance of 500 km to 228 dk of power with a 98 kWh battery pack covering a distance of 660 km. The peak variant also offers high power reaching 316 dk of the rear electric motor, with the same range of the 98 kWh battery.

The car comes in six color options, including a dual-tone option with a glossy black roof for the GT version. While the selling price has not been announced, Peugeot ensures that the E-5008 will be available in the market starting this fall.
