Ended In May 2024, This Is The Fate Of The Export Of The Freeport Copper Concentrat
JAKARTA - The relaxation of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) copper concentrate exports has yet to have a bright spot. In fact, this export relaxation ends in May 2024.
This is because the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Director of Mineral and Coal Program Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, said that until now there have been no provisions regarding the rules for relaxing concentrat exports.
"Regarding relaxation, until now there has been no provision related to the extension of relaxation after May 31, 2024 until now," he said as quoted on Wednesday, March 20.
Tri Winarno also cannot confirm whether the government will again provide an extension of the relaxation of copper concentrate exports.
Winarno said this could not be confirmed because there were no rules related to export relaxation.
"We don't know yet because until now there are no rules to extend relaxation after May 31, 2024," concluded Winarno.
Just so you know, previously the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources granted export relaxation permits to 5 mining companies after the implementation of the ban on raw mineral exports in June 2023.
This relaxation is given until May 2024 and until now there is no certainty regarding the continuation.
