Three Mitsubishi Entities Form A New Company 'EVNION', Providers Of EV Comprehensive Online Services

JAKARTA - The three Mitsubishi entities, namely Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, collaborated to establish a new company called EVNION Inc. The company aims to operate online platforms and provide integrated services related to electric vehicles (EVs).

According to the company's official statement, quoted on Wednesday, March 20, the establishment of EVNION will comply with regulatory permits from the relevant authorities. The main objective of establishing this company is to provide relevant information and services to more users, especially amid the growing interest of vehicle buyers in EV contributions to community decarbonization.

EVNION will later operate a unique online platform called "EVNION PLACE," which will offer EV-related services to customers in Japan, regardless of the brand or type of vehicle, both commercial vehicles and passenger cars. The plan, this platform will be launched in August 2024.

The platform's "Marketplace" service will include charging equipment for electric vehicles, electric supply contracts and energy management, as well as charging solutions to support the introduction and operation of electric vehicles, as well as consulting services for decarbonization. In addition, the platform will provide news related to electric vehicles and useful information related to the introduction and operation of EVs.

Customers who switch from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles often face various changes and questions. With the integration of all necessary information and services, this platform is expected to help users on their journey forward.

Once launched, the platform will gradually expand its content to support Japan's targets of realizing carbon neutrality by 2050, as well as facing digital transformation (DX).

In terms of ownership, Mitsubishi Corporation owns 35 percent of the shares, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation owns 35 percent of the shares, while Mitsubishi Motors owns 30 percent of the shares.
