Only 45.19 Percent Of Taxpayers Report Annual SPT, Beware Of Unreported Fines
The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) of the Ministry of Finance reported that as many as 8.71 million or 45.19 percent of taxpayers (WP) had reported Annual Notification (SPT). There are still around 10.56 million taxpayers who have not reported.
"As of March 18, 2024, there are a total of 8.71 million Annual SPTs that have been submitted," said Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations Dwi Astuti, in a statement Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
Dwi said the amount consisted of 259.9 thousand SPT Annual PPh Agency and 8.45 million SPT Annual PPh Personal People.
According to Dwi, of this amount, there are still around 10.56 million Annual SPTs that have not been submitted, consisting of 8.76 million private people and 1.8 million bodies.
"We need to remind you again that the deadline for reporting SPT Annual PPh 2023 so that it is not subject to late sanctions is March 31, 2024 for private taxpayers and April 30, 2024 for corporate taxpayers," he explained.
Dwi appealed to taxpayers to immediately report their Annual SPT through various channels that have been provided. Because reporting earlier, it is more comfortable.
The 2023 tax Annual SPT report has started since January 1, 2024 and will end in March 2024 for private taxpayers and the end of April 2024 for corporate taxpayers.

In addition, DGT has provided several options to report Annual SPT electronically, namely through e-filling and e-forms. However, DGT still receives SPT reports that are carried out manually.
Meanwhile, the late delivery of the Annual SPT will be subject to administrative sanctions in the form of a fine of Rp. 100,000 for individual taxpayers and Rp. 1 million for corporate taxpayers.
In addition, to remind the public to report Annual SPT, the DGT will send a blast email to 20 million taxpayers, both private and agency persons who will only be sent via the official email of the Directorate General of Taxes with domain @pajak.go.id.
