Vietnam Launches Satire And Psywar, Jay Idzes Chooses Amat Bodo
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team defender, Jay Idzes, stated that he did not care about the Vietnamese players who considered them to be against the Dutch. This was said because currently the Garuda squad is filled with many naturalized players.
The satire about this was expressed by Vietnam's midfielder, Do Duy Manh. Do Duy revealed this before the meeting between Vietnam and Indonesia in the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup Qualification on March 21, 2024.
Do Duy Manh released the hot satire because there were indeed 11 naturalized players in the Garuda squad. Four players even just finished naturalizing and got their first call.
Jay Idzes responded casually to this situation. He didn't care about the assessment of the Vietnamese player.

For him, all those who were summoned to the Indonesian national team were one unit and Indonesian citizens.
"I don't know him (the Vietnamese player). I don't want to comment on that (the Dutch national team's raid)," he said.
"However, I feel like I represent everyone (on the team). I said we are a team. Everyone is trying to do a good job together," said Jay.
For Jay, the Indonesian national team is like the motto of the state of Bhineka Tunggal Ika which means different, but still one.
Therefore, he chose to focus with the Indonesian national team rather than think about the opposing team.
"This team we are all one of us. I think everyone also sees it. Otherwise, it's not my problem," he said.
Jay Idzes is also a new naturalized player in the Indonesian national team. The Dutch-born player only pocketed an Indonesian passport on December 28, 2023.
Seeing his new status, Idzes has the opportunity to appear first for the Garuda Squad in the 2026 World Cup Qualification for the Asian Zone against Vietnam.
