The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Concerning Hasto Calls Harun Masiku A Victim: If There Is A Bribery Article There Must Be An Agreement
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) emphasized that Harun Masiku, who is a former PDI-P candidate (PDIP), was not a victim, as stated by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto. Giving money to former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan is purely a form of bribery.
"When the bribery article is applied, it is certain that there is an agreement between the two parties, namely giving and receiving," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19.
Ali also said that Harun did not find any coercion in the handing over of money. "So I think to this day there are no facts that lead to the fact that there are parties who are forced, for example, or there are parties who become victims," he said.
Hasto Kristiyanto previously said that Harun Masiku, who is still at large, was a victim of an individual at the KPU who asked for a reward. This statement was made in a special interview program broadcast on the YouTube Liputan6 account.

According to him, Harun, who until now is unknown, is actually entitled to a seat in parliament in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court (MA). He can replace the elected candidate who died in the 2019 Legislative Election (Pileg).
However, Harun recently chose to give money because he was asked by an individual. "So he was tempted which was later categorized as a bribe," said Hasto, quoted from the special interview.
Meanwhile, Harun has been a fugitive and has been on the wanted list (DPO) since January 29, 2020. Most recently, the KPK informed that the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia had issued a red notice on behalf of Harun Masiku on Friday, July 30, 2023.
