Woman Counterfeit Money Dealer In Bojonegoro Arrested, 150 Sheets Of Rp100 Thousand Disita
BOJONEGORO - Bojonegoro Police, East Java, arrested two women suspected of circulating counterfeit money in markets in local districts.
Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bojonegoro Police, AKP Fahmi Amarullah, said the two women were S, a resident of Sukosewu and RJ, a resident of Sumbang Village, Bojonegoro City District.
"We have secured it, an investigation is being carried out and the development of the counterfeit money is being carried out," Fahmi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 19.
From the hands of the two female perpetrators, continued Fahmi, the police secured 150 pieces of counterfeit money with Rp100 thousand denominations.
The police appealed to the public to be careful regarding the circulation of counterfeit money during Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
"Because this is used by criminals to distribute counterfeit money. Traders must be careful to receive money from buyers so that their authenticity is re-examined," said Fahmi.
In addition, Fahmi asked the public if they received counterfeit money or other crimes to immediately report them to the nearest police force in order to get further treatment.

Meanwhile, Kusmiati, a resident of Ngrowo Village, Bojonegoro, said the arrests of the two counterfeit money dealers occurred after traders who received counterfeit money reported to the police.
"The merchant did not know that it was counterfeit money, but it seems that there are a number of traders who received counterfeit money so they made a report," he said.
