Bahlil Lahadalia Reported By JATAM To The KPK Regarding Allegations Of Mining Licensing Corruption
JAKARTA - The Mining Advocacy Network (JATAM) reported the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Tuesday, March 19. He was reported to be related to mining permits in 2021-2023."We from JATAM report allegations of corruption committed by the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM brother Bahlil to the KPK regarding the process of revocation of mining permits," said JATAM Coordinator, Melky Nahar to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 19.Melky said it was suspected that there was a corrupt practice in the process carried out by Bahlil. “Laporan this is important to open any patterns used by officials, especially Minister Bahlil, in relation to the process of revocation of permits that has drawn polemics, ” he said.JATAM said Melky had studied the alleged corruption. The three regulations or regulations issued by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) allegedly led to Bahlil's power. However, recently the Golkar Party politician was said to have not obeyed the regulations. Bahlil's game has been traced by JATAM since six months ago, said Melky."On his way after we searched the last six months, apparently the process of revocation of this permit he did not rely on the regulations set at all," he said."But what we value is that the process of revocation of permits carried out by Minister Bahlil yesterday tends to be selective and transactional, which ends up benefiting other groups or business entities," continued Melky.Previously reported, Bahlil was said to have asked for billions of rupiah in return or share participation in each company in an effort to revoke or issue mining business permits (IUP) and business rights (HGU) in the Tempo Magazine investigation report. This prompted Member of Commission VII DPR RI Mulyanto to ask the KPK to intervene.According to him, it is time for the agency to examine Bahlil in his capacity as Head of the Task Force for Arrangement for the Use of Land and Investment Arrangement. Moreover, the existence of the task force actually overlaps with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
"This task should be the domain of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources because the Law and Presidential Decree regarding mining businesses are in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, not the Ministry of Investment," Mulyanto told reporters, Monday, March 4.
