The Indonesian National Team Releases A New List Of Players Ahead Of The Opponents Of Vietnam
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team had to overhaul a list of players who were called up for the 2026 World Cup Qualification agenda against Vietnam.
Shin Tae-yong had to cross out three players, namely Jordi Amat, Elkan Baggott, and Yance Sayuri who were injured.
Previously, the South Korean coach called 28 players to prepare for two matches against Vietnam, but three names had to be reduced.
As a result, Arkhan Fikri (Arema FC) was also called up to fulfill the squad to become 26 current players.

At the inaugural training camp (TC), Monday, March 18, 2024, WIB night, only 22 players were present. Including several names playing abroad, such as Asnawi Mangkualam (Port FC), Pratama Arhan (Suwon FC), Rafael Struick (ADO Den Hague), plus Jay Idzes (Venzoia) whose naturalization has just been completed.
Four other names following joining are two players who have just officially become Indonesian citizens (WNI), Ragnar Oratmangoen (Fortuna Sittard) and Thom Haye (SC Heerenveen), and Nathan Tjoe-A-On (SC Heerenveen) and Sandy Walsh (KV Mechelen).
The Indonesian national team will play two matches against Vietnam in the 2026 Duni Cup Qualification.
The first meeting was held at the Gelora Bung Main Stadium on March 21, 2024. Then, the Indonesian national team will visit Vietnam headquarters, My Dinh Stadium, on March 26, 2024.
