Prabowo Checks IKN Development To Prepare For RI Anniversary Ceremony
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto checked the progress of the development of the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan, Monday, which will later become the location of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony.
Prabowo, who was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Defense and Kodam VI/Mulawarman, visited the location for the construction of the State Palace in IKN, North Penanam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan.
At IKN, Prabowo listened to the presentation from the IKN construction team regarding development progress as well as hearing the plan to prepare the location for the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony on August 17, 2024.
Prabowo also gave input to the construction and city planning team, one of which was related to tips on growing grass. "So, if possible, water in before the sun rises," said Defense Minister Prabowo during a conversation with the workers around the project site as reported by ANTARA, Monday, March 18.

During his activities, Prabowo also greeted construction workers in the IKN area. "Is it still fasting?" asked Defense Minister Prabowo to a number of project workers at IKN.
'Lebaran can go home, right?' Prabowo again asked the workers.
"Pulang, sir," said they were compact.
After walking around, Prabowo continued the meeting at the IKN Construction Worker Residential complex with officials from the Ministry of Defense and the North Penajam Paser Regency Government.
