Rehabilitation And Renovation Of Exemplary Stadiums In Medan Targeted For Completion In December 2024
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) targets the rehabilitation and renovation of the Teladan Stadium in Medan, North Sumatra, to be completed in December 2024.
This was revealed by the Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono when he visited the Teladan Stadium in North Sumatra recently.
"The progress of the rehabilitation and renovation work of the Teladan Stadium has reached 3 percent and is targeted for completion in December 2024," said Minister Basuki as quoted from the official Instagram account @kemenpupr, Monday, March 18.
Basuki said that this rehabilitation and renovation work was carried out to support the improvement of national sports achievements.
"Through this rehabilitation and renovation work, the Teladan Stadium is expected to be a better sports infrastructure for North Sumatra residents and can support the implementation of other events, especially in the field of football," he said.
Through the rehabilitation and renovation work that has been started since December 2023, the Teladan Stadium will be rebuilt with an area of 36,000 square meters.
It is planned that this stadium will be built as high as 3 floors and can accommodate 20,080 spectators consisting of 20,000 regular spectators and 80 disabled spectators.

For your information, the rehabilitation and renovation of the Teladan Stadium was carried out by PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Bangunan as the implementing contractor at a cost of IDR 275.09 billion sourced from APBN funds.
In addition, the rehabilitation of this stadium is also a form of collaboration with the Medan City Government for the physical work of supporting facilities and infrastructure for the Exemplary Stadium at a cost of Rp129.1 billion sourced from the Medan City APBD funds.
