Adira Finance Provides Financing For IDR 200 Billion Electric Vehicles In 2023

JAKARTA - The Adira Finance financing institution provides financing for environmentally friendly electric vehicles, reaching as much as Rp200 billion in 2023.

"The financing is a form of support for the government's program to reduce emissions by procuring electric vehicles, both two and four wheels," said Head of the Southern Sulawesi Region Adira Finance Irfan Budianto during the Adira Expo 2024 activity, which coincided with the moment of Ramadan 1445 Hijriah in Makassar, South Sulawesi, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 18.

He said the national financing achievement was around 10 percent of which was given in his working area in South Sulawesi.

He admitted that the value of the financing was indeed far less than for vehicles that still use fuel from fossils.

However, according to Irfan, because the procurement of cars and motorbikes has only been intensified by the government for several years and opens up opportunities for the private sector to distribute electric vehicles to remote villages.

Until now, there are 40 types of electric two-wheeled vehicles and 15 types of electric four-wheeled brands that also partner with the Adira Finance financing institution.

Meanwhile, the financing growth of Adira Finance Areas in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua reached 18 percent (yoy) with a nominal value of IDR 5.7 trillion in 2023.

From this achievement, the 31 percent motorcycle segment financing, 11 percent cars, and 31 percent non-automotive cars.

To further introduce the financing services that have received a recommendation from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Adira Expo 2024 was held which coincided with the moment of Ramadan 1445 Hijri in Makassar.

"The month of Ramadan has a significant impact on the habit of spending and the needs of the community. Therefore, we provide attractive offers, one of which is by providing Umrah opportunities for hundreds of customers who use Adira Finance services," said Irfan.
