Demak Flood Victims Start To Be Attacked By Diseases, Central Java Police Chief Asks For Accelerated Distribution Of Aid
Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi asked the local government to the Demak Police to immediately carry out social assistance distribution activities (Bansos) to flood-affected residents in Demak Regency, Central Java.
It is known that several river embankments in Demak Regency were broken due to not being able to withstand the overflow of water. In fact, the wulan river embankment in Karanganyar District, which has just been repaired, has now broken again.
"Activities that lead to social assistance should be immediately distributed to residents affected by the flood, because they will definitely need it," said Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi accompanied by Military Commander IV Diponegoro Maj. Gen. Deddy Suryadi at the Jati Sumo Negoro foundation, Merak Village, Dempet District, Demak Regency, Sunday, March 17.
The Kapolda said that most residents in the refugee camps began to get itching, fever and runny nose. For this reason, residents are advised to immediately check their health at the existing posts.
"The health of the refugees must also be prioritized. We together with related agencies will provide the best service to the community and ensure sufficient supply of medicine for flood victims," he said.

He revealed that the Central Java Regional Police and Regional Military Command IV Diponegoro had participated in disaster response actions that befell the province of Central Java, especially areas that were hit by floods.
Later, the TNI and Polri will cooperate with the Sungai Basin Center (BBWS) to deal with flooding in Demak Regency.
"The cooperation between the TNI and Polri with BBWS and the local government will focus on repairing river embankments in Demak Regency so that the flood problem does not happen again. We have also dispatched a number of personnel to help deal with flooding. We are also preparing posts and other things needed, the community," he concluded.
