Two Vocational High School Students In Purbalingga Are The Triggers Of The Sarong War, Dozens Are Also Secured

PURBALINGGA - Polsek Padamara Polres Purbalingga thwarted a sarong war activity in the Bojanegara Village area, Padamara District, Purbalingga Regency, Sunday, March 17 in the morning.

The Head of the Padamara Police, AKP Ihwan Ma'ruf, said that starting when members were carrying out patrols, they received information that a number of teenagers had gathered on the road connecting Bojanegara Village and Rumble Village.

"Members of patrols then went to the location and some of the people suspected of wanting to fight the sarong had run. However, they were successfully secured by the police, assisted by residents," explained AKP Ihwan Ma'ruf in a written statement, Sunday, March 13.

It was said that ten people were arrested, namely FD (14), RAS (21), SH (18), ND (16), AR (16), AP (18), MPP (16), RJ (15), GAP (16), ADF (14). All residents of Bojanegara Village, Padamara District, Purbalingga Regency.

"A number of evidences were also secured, namely five sarongs that had been tied to the ends and motorbikes," he said.

From the information obtained, the sarong war plan began when two people, namely ND and AR from one of the Vocational High Schools in Purbalingga mocked each other at school. The two then agreed to do a sarong war by bringing their friends in the evening.

"That night they gathered on the road connecting Bojanegara Village to Rumble Village for the sarong war. Until it was discovered by residents and secured by police patrols from the Padamara Police," he said.

The police chief added that those who were found to be going to the sarong war would be trained so as not to repeat their actions again. Parents and the school will be summoned as well as given counseling to help increase supervision so that the incident does not happen again.
