Bogor City Transportation Agency Will Trial Electric Angkot

The city of BOGOR - Five units of electric city transportation (angkot) to be tested for six months with the Cidangiang-Suryakencana route being prepared by the Department of Transportation (Dishub) of Bogor City, West Java.

Head of Bogor City Transportation Agency Marse Hendra Saputra in Bogor City, Saturday, said that technically his party was still in the process of completing the charging station or public electric vehicle charging station (SPKLU), and the Tap on Bus (TOB) system.

Supposedly, these five electric angkot units should have started paving on March 15, 2024. It's just that, said Marse, the launch had to be postponed because there were still technical preparations.

"On progress, so technically. Postponed is not for what reason, only for the completeness of the operation there are some that have not been completed. So again on the progress charging station and TOB," said Marse, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, March 16.

Marse explained that the electricity angkot payment system uses TOB or electronic payment-based cards such as Biskita Transpakuan. This electricity angkot tariff is IDR 5,000 during the trial period.

According to him, this electricity angkot will fill the Biskita Trasnspakuan Corridor 3 route which has not been realized. Because Jalan Suryakencana does not allow buses to pass.

"There are five units. From Cidangiang, Suryakencana, Bondongan, Empang, Cidangiang are back," he explained.

Marse said the charging station for these five electric angkots would be made specifically so that other electric vehicles could not charge here.

It's just that, said Marse, it has not been decided where the charging station is placed. The Transportation Agency is still coordinating with PLN.

"Only one is enough for five, as long as it is made specialon. If there are four SPKLUs throughout the city of Bogor, but the technical payments are different. That's what we are discussing," he said.

Marse said, later there will be 10 drivers for this electric angkot. With details, one angkot unit has two drivers.

"Driver 10 people, there are reserves. The plan is for one car for two drivers," he said.
