Satpol PP Urges Parents To Supervise Their Children To Avoid Criminals On The Road: Make Sure At 22.00 Home

The Tangerang City Civil Service Police Unit appealed to parents to monitor and supervise their children's activities so as not to become victims or perpetrators of crimes on the road.

"Make sure at 22.00 WIB we are at home so that our children do not become victims or perpetrators of crimes on the road," said Tangerang City Satpol PP Head Wawan Fauzi in Tangerang, Banten, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 16.

Therefore, continued Wawan, the Tangerang City Satpol PP carried out field supervision by alerting 24-hour personnel through the distribution of three shifts.

These personnel are focused on crowded points that are used as places to sell takjil, areas that have the potential to be vulnerability at night or early morning.

"Our personnel divide the three shifts to be prepared to maintain peace and security throughout the Tangerang City area," he said.

He explained that tightened supervision needs to be carried out because community mobility in the month of Ramadan increases, especially in the afternoon before breaking the fast which coincides with working hours.

"Satpol PP also anticipates activities to turn on firecrackers, sarong wars, brawls to temporary cessation of public entertainment businesses in the month of Ramadan," he said.

Previously, the Tangerang City Metro Police established 26 monitoring posts to anticipate brawls, the use of firecrackers, illegal racing, motorcycle gangs under the guise of sahur activities on the road and other security and social security disturbances during the month of Ramadan.

Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Police Zain Dwi Nugroho said during Ramadan there were community activities whose escalation increased after the tarawih prayer, ahead of breaking the fast, before dawn until after dawn prayers.

He explained that the monitoring post would be guarded by officers who had been appointed. The existence of the monitoring post is supported by active large-scale patrols by joint officers from the TNI, Polri, municipal government and other agencies in several areas that are considered vulnerable.

"We also carry out patrols in suppressing disturbances in public order during the month of Ramadan. We invite all parties to play an active role," he said.
