PKS Legislator Ready To Sign Letter Rights, Says There Is Good News Next Week

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives from the PKS faction, Mardani Ali Sera, stated that he was ready to sign a request for the right of inquiry to investigate allegations of fraud in the 2024 General Election. He said there would be good news regarding the proposed right of inquiry.

"If I personally, from yesterday I was ready to sign," said Mardani, Saturday, March 15.

Mardani revealed that the PKS faction continues to communicate with other factions to formally apply for the right to inquiry of the DPR RI. However, the member of Commission II of the DPR did not disclose which factions have spoken about the right of inquiry with PKS. He also asked the public to wait for his party to apply for the right of inquiry in the DPR. He hopes that the factions who agree with the right of inquiry will begin to apply for it next week. "If the factions (PKS) seem to continue to communicate intensively. Hopefully, there will be good news next week," said the DKI Jakarta legislator. Previously, Member of Commission II of the DPR RI PAN faction, Guspardi Gaus believes that the right of inquiry to investigate the alleged fraud in the 2024 election will not materialize. Because according to him, the discourse of new angket rights is limited to interruptions in the plenary which is not a mechanism for applying for angket right. There are also factions who carry out interruptions to encourage the use of election fraud rights, namely PKS, PKB, and PDIP. However, the three of them have not yet officially submitted the right to the budget.

"In my personal opinion, the right of inquiry, God willing, will not happen or be realized," said Guspardi at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.

The West Sumatra electoral district PAN legislator assessed that the process of traveling on the right of inquiry was still long. Therefore, Guspardi believes that the right of inquiry will not be realized.

"Moreover, the big party stated that it was not necessary. This is something that further strengthens my view of the right of inquiry, and God willing, it will not happen," said Guspardi.
