Legitimate! Nissan And Honda Officially Partner For The Development Of Electrification Vehicles
JAKARTA - Two well-known automotive companies from Japan, Nissan and Honda, have officially agreed to cooperate by signing a memorandum of understanding to start a study presenting electrified vehicles in the future.
This announcement came after the two companies were rumored to be partnering in presenting electric vehicles at affordable prices in order to shift the dominance of the Chinese brand.
This collaboration also aims to accelerate efforts towards carbon neutrality and eliminate mortality from traffic accidents by strengthening technology and software.
Nissan President and CEO Makoto Uchida said that his party was looking forward to further discussions with Honda to find solutions that are mutually beneficial to each other by expanding the sustainable ecosystem.
"It is important to prepare for an increase in the rate of mobility transformation in the medium to long term, and it is important for us to reach this agreement based on the mutual understanding that the two companies face the same challenge," Uchida said on the company's website, Saturday, March 16.
The circuit with Uchida, CEO of Honda Toshihiro Mibe added that this collaboration aims to create new value for the automotive industry thanks to the development of technology offered by these two giants.

Meanwhile, it is known that the feasibility studies that will be conducted by both include software platforms, internal EV components, and a number of complementary products.
