Riau Police Detains Former Director Of Bangkinang Hospital For Corruption Suspects

PeKANBARU - Riau Police detained two former directors of the Bangkinang Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Kampar Regency after being named suspects on suspicion of corruption in the management of funds from the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) in 2017-2018.

The two people are dr. Wira Dharma who was the Director at Bangkinang Hospital in 2017 and dr. Andri Justin in the 2018 period. As a result of the suspect's actions, the state was harmed by Rp. 6.992 billion," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Direskrimsus) Riau Police Kombes Nasriadi as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 15.

Both were dragged into the vortex of corruption after the corruption court of the Pekanbaru District Court sentenced the treasurer of the Bangkinang Hospital, Arvina Wulan, compared to October 5, 2023.

Arvina Wulandari was proven guilty of corruption and sentenced to 6.5 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million.

Kombes Nasriadi said the Director of Bangkinang Hospital in 2017-2018, namely Wira Dharma and Andri Justin, was suspected of being with Arvina of misappropriating BLUD funds.

"With this decision, investigators carried out developments by determining, examining and detaining other suspects who were strongly suspected of being carried out by dr. Wira Dharma and dr. Andri Justin," he continued.

The mode of budget irregularities by carrying out fictitious activities, making higher expenditure accountability than actual expenditures, and paying more transactions to third parties.

"To facilitate the investigation process and avoid attempts to escape or eliminate evidence, the two suspects were detained," said Nasriadi.
