Police Have Arrested A Gang Of Truck Speedometer Thief Specialists In Bali
DENPASAR - Jembrana Police, Bali arrested three members of a gang of truck speedometer theft specialists with evidence of dozens of vehicle parts.
"Pelaku beroperasi di seluruh Bali. Di Kabupaten Jembrana mereka beraksi di dua lokasi," kata Kapolres Jembrana AKBP Endang Tri Purwanto di Negara dikutip ANTARA, Jumat, 15 Maret.

This gang is targeting trucks left by their drivers to return home, with vehicles parked on the side of the road or gas station.
The investigation of this case was carried out, he said, after his party received reports of the disappearance of a speedometer on a truck parked at a gas station in Melaya Village and on the side of the Denpasar-Gilimanuk highway that entered the Candikusuma Village area, Melaya District in February.
"In the action, the perpetrators were indeed targeting large tronton-like trucks. From this gang, we confiscated 14 speedometers as evidence," he said.
All residents of Surabaya City, East Java Province are known to be operating in other areas in Bali.
His party also coordinated with other police regarding the crime of theft of this truck speedometer.
"Coordination was carried out with the police, which stated that the perpetrators had committed similar acts there," he said.

Currently, the police are still pursuing two other perpetrators, namely Heri and Agus Jafar Shodiq.
"Besides we are chasing, we have also included the two people on the wanted list. Hopefully they will be caught quickly," he said.
The truck speedometer, which normally costs between Rp. 10 million to Rp. 20 million, is sold for Rp. 2 million to Rp. 3 million, which they spend on their daily needs.
The perpetrator was charged with Article 363 paragraph (1) to 4 and 5 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of seven years in prison.
