Liga 1 2023/2024 Results: PSS Failed To Break Borneo's Good Trend
PSS Sleman hosted Borneo FC in the 29th week of Liga 1 2023/2024 at Mahanan Stadium, Solo, Thursday, March 14, 2024. The Javanese super eagle failed to break its record without the defeat of Pesut Etam.
PSS as the host lost 0-1 to Borneo. The only goal created in the match was scored by Felipe Cadenazzi in the 59th minute.
The Javanese Super Elang could actually put Pesut Etam under pressure in the first half. They almost opened the scoring in the 40th minute through Irkham Mila.
However, Irkham Mila's cungkil kick could still be parried by Nadeo Argawinata.

In the first half of time, PSS again made a good chance. However, Irkham Mila's header, which was unsupervised, was still wide.
Borneo could actually break the deadlock after the first half ended 0-0. Starting from Stefano Lilipaly's free kick on the left side of the PSS defense, Cadenazzi welcomed him with a loud header.
PSS goalkeeper Anthony Pinthus, who was about to block the free kick, lost quickly to Cadenazzi. The ball from the striker's header slid hard into the host's goal.
After being left behind, PSS was even more depressed. Borneo almost doubled the score in the 85th minute.
Unfortunately, Adam Alis's kick from inside the penalty box could still be blocked by Thales' header. In fact, goalkeeper Anthony was already dead.
No more goals were created until the game was over. Borneo FC successfully brought home three points with a narrow 1-0 win over PSS Sleman.
The victory made Borneo stronger at the top of the 2023/2024 Liga 1 standings. They also continued the positive trend without defeat to 18 matches.
Meanwhile, PSS Sleman was wary. They are now on the 15th ladder of the standings with a collection of 31 points.
The acquisition of the points is exactly the same as that of Arema FC, which is at the top of the relegation zone. This means that the Javanese Super Elang is increasingly threatened to enter the relegation zone.
