Badarawuhi Film In Dancing Village Changes Titles So That It Can Show In The United States

JAKARTA - After announcing that the film Badarawuhi in Penari Village became the first Indonesian and Southeast Asian film labeled Filmed for IMAX, MD Pictures reported that the film would be released in the United States. MD Pictures is collaborating with Lionsgate to distribute.

As a producer of MD Pictures, Manoj Punjabi revealed that the Badarawuhi trip in Penari Village to be able to air in the United States was not easy. Manoj feels grateful that his dream could be fulfilled.

"The journey, yes, many want to penetrate there. But it's not that easy that they can accept the product. We can meet Liosgake like a mate, yes, I'm sure this film can and is feasible," said Manoj at a press conference at MD Place, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday, March 14.

Manoj said this achievement made the Indonesian film world proud. "What we have been waiting for has finally arrived, MD can announce that we are working with Lionsgate, ready to distribute Badarawuhi in Penari Village to the United States," he said.

In the United States, the film directed by Kimo Stamboel will be titled Dancing Village: The Curse Begin. "We want to release a title in America, because the title Badarawuhi seems to be difficult to convey. So the title is Dancing Village: The Curse Begin," explained Manoj Punjabi.
