Prabowo-Gibran Has A Housing Building Program Of 3 Million, This Is The Response Of PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono responded to the 3 million house program launched by the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Basuki said the program was good to solve the problems of backlogs or home shortages which currently reach 12.7 million houses.
However, Basuki said that until now there has been no discussion regarding the plan.
"There has been no chat. It has not been discussed. In the past, Pak Jokowi's program was 1 million houses, we have achieved more than 1 million houses," he told reporters at the PUPR Ministry Office in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 14.
"If there is a program of 3 million houses, I think it's good, but it hasn't been discussed yet," he said again.
Meskipun demikian, Basuki mengatakan program pembangunan 3 juta rumah tentunya akan berdampak pada peningkatan anggaran yang cukup besar.
The cost of building 1 subsidized housing unit for low-income people currently reaches Rp144 million, and absorbs a budget of Rp144 trillion.
Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto promised to build as many as 3 million houses, 1 million houses in rural areas, 1 million urban areas, and 1 million coastal areas, if he is elected president later.
