Denpasar Police Arrest 2 Drug Trafficker Recidivists, 4.1 Kilograms Of Methamphetamine Confiscated

DENPASAR - Denpasar Police arrested two drug dealers Hartono (48) and Kartono (49) with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 4.1 kilograms and also thousands of ecstasy pills.

Denpasar Police Chief Kombes Wisnu Prabowo said the two perpetrators were arrested in two different places and both were interprovincial drug dealers.

"They have 1.8 kilograms (Hartono perpetrators) each with 655 ecstasy pills and the other (Kartono) 2.3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine with the total ecstasy of 571 pills," said Wisnu, Wednesday, March 13.

Meanwhile, Denpasar Police Narcotics Head Kompol Yogie Pramagita explained that the first perpetrator Hartono was arrested on Saturday (2/3/2024) night at 18.10 WITA at Kos Taman Sari, Tuban, Badung, Bali, then the case was developed.

From the motorbike used by Hartono, the police found methamphetamine packages in three pieces of mangosteen skin. After further investigation, the suspect's boarding house was also found with methamphetamine and hundreds of ecstasy pills. The goods were obtained from an unknown boss.

"The suspect H was ordered to guard (shabu-shabu) by his boss, whom he did not know, just by telephone. According to the suspect's confession, he has been guarding the goods for almost three years," said Yogie.

Suspect Hartono works for two bosses. The goods obtained from the first boss have been sold by the suspect, while the goods from the second boss did not have time to be circulated because they had been arrested by officers. The suspect, who has served his sentence at Kerobokan Badung Prison, admitted that he often sold the prohibited items.

Meanwhile, the second perpetrator of Kartono, who was a drug case recidivist in 2015, was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in Pangkalpinang Prison, was arrested on Saturday (9/3/2024) night at 19.30 WITA in the parking area of the Jalan Raya Denpasar-Gilimanuk gas station, Ubung Kaja Village, Denpasar City.

When arrested, Kartono along with his two children who were brought from Pangkal Pinang to Denpasar-Bali to deliver packages of methamphetamine and ecstasy under the guise of family vacations.

According to Yogie's statement, his two children admitted that they did not know that the car the father was driving was also carrying thousands of grams of crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy.

Kompol Yogie explained that the suspect Kartono admitted that he was only ordered by a boss whose identity was not known.

To bring methamphetamine and ecstasy narcotics in the car from Pangkal Pinang to Denpasar, Bali.

The suspect was promised Rp32 million with a travel fee of Rp7 million and after the goods arrived at the customer in Denpasar, Kartono was promised Rp25 million.
