Deputy Chairperson Of Commission VII Colek, Director Of KKKS Who Took Position, But Oil And Gas Production Decreased

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Maman Abdurrahman highlighted the realization of domestic oil lifting which continues to experience a decline in domestic oil production.

In a Hearing Meeting with SKK Migas and Contractor of Cooperation Contract (KKKS) Maman said that actually the issues related to national oil production have been the talk of the last 4-5 years.

He said, there is a possibility that Indonesia's oil production will only reach 400 thousand barrels per day (BOPD).

"If we want to talk a little about criticizing each of us, our career paths in our respective positions have increased. Some may in the past have increased their positions as managers, up to become directors, so that goes up, but on a production target whose progress is that our achievement is down means this is not comparable," said Maman in a hearing with SKK Migas, Wednesday, March 13.

On that occasion, Maman also congratulated Chalid Said Salim, who currently serves as the President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) replacing Wiko Migantoro.

Chalid was previously the President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) as the Regional Sumatra Subholding Upstream Pertamina.

"Alhamdulillah, congratulations to Mr. Chalid too. I used to know Mr. Chalid from the director of PHM (Pertamina Hulu Mahakam), then there was a bit of a commotion going up as the director of PHR. From the assets we considered to be a bit big asset, then now you have become the President Director of PHE. It's amazing, Mr. from the President Director of PHM, Nah, the President Director of PHR, has now gone up to the President Director of PHE, but our production has not increased, sir," said Maman.

According to Maman, this phenomenon should be an internal criticism for each KKKS, especially since the perpetrators of the task force sector are one of the people with the title of the country's foreign exchange hero.

For this reason, he asked, all parties to help boost state revenues through Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) which contributed almost IDR 450 trillion.

"Because in my opinion this is a concern for us together. I mean, don't let our careers go up, but our production doesn't go up. This seems ironic. I want to build an understanding between us, thank God we can support our career and increase salaries, but yes national production has also increased," said Maman.

Just so you know, throughout 2023 SKK Migas recorded the realization of oil lifting of 605.5 MBOPD or lower than the realization in 2022 of 612.3 MBOPD.
