Minister Of PUPR Basuki: Minister's House In IKN Is Smaller Than At Widya Chandara, South Jakarta

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said the area of the houses of ministers in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) is smaller than the house in Widya Chandra Complex, South Jakarta which is currently occupied by ministers.

"For me, it's smaller. Because I put it. It's smaller than the size on Widya Chandra," said Basuki, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, March 13.

Basuki explained that he was one of the ministers occupying the official residence at Widya Chandra Complex, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

He also said that the construction of official houses for himself or for the Minister of PUPR had been completed with standard facilities, such as bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms and meeting rooms.

According to Basuki, all official houses for ministers, both coordinating ministers and technical ministers at IKN, have the same type of building and the area is smaller than the ministerial official residence in Jakarta.

In fact, he said, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan admitted that the area of official residences for ministers in IKN was smaller.

"Even Mr. Luhut said, 'how come this is small? It should be able to be raised. But the concept of 'compact city' is adapted to the design of the winner of the competition," said Basuki.

Basuki added that he had visited his official residence at IKN and stated that he had started moving to IKN in July.

The IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force (Satgas) stated that the progress of landed houses in ministerial positions reached almost 80 percent.

The Ministry of PUPR has completed the construction of two units of the Ministerial Tax House, as an example house (mock up) at IKN, one of which is the house of the Minister of PUPR.

"Yesterday we accelerated something to give an idea, where two units of the landed house of ministerial office have been completed," said Danis.

The PUPR Ministry targets that in July this year as many as 36 landed houses of ministerial positions will be completed.
