Catherine Wilson Called Durhaka For Leaving Home Without Permission When Idham Masse Runs Hajj

JAKARTA - Idham Masse's attorney, Ilham Rasyid said that Catherine Wilson had left the house since 8 months of their marriage without permission when Idham was performing the pilgrimage.

Even so, Ilham emphasized that Idham continued to provide support to Catherine Wilson even though she had left their house in Sidrap, South Sulawesi.

"Well then the plaintiff left the house in the 8th month when the Idham hajj held the pilgrimage. I forgot that in the 7th or 8th month he performed the pilgrimage," said Ilham Rasyid at the Depok Religious Court, Wednesday, March 13.

"The month 9 Idham hajj is still supporting it, still implementing it. Even though this plaintiff Mrs. Catherine Wilson has left the house without permission, but as the husband responsible for Hajj Idham, he still supports it," he added.

Seeing this, as Idham Masse's husband, he had time to ask why Catherine Wilson left the house, unfortunately this 43-year-old woman did not give a clear reason.

"Kempat (tanya alasannya), cuma alasannya tidak jelas. Mungkin ada kesempatan, mungkin tidak tahan tinggal di sana karena berbeda dengan jakarta ya, kemungkinan seperti itu," lanjut Ilham.

In fact, according to Idham himself, who adheres to Islamic teachings, he said that a wife must follow her husband as long as she is able to provide a proper place to live and earn a decent living.

However, because Catherine Wilson did not do this, Idham Masse firmly said that his wife was a disobedient wife.

"But in our opinion, a wife is obliged to follow a husband, when her husband is able to provide a proper place to live or residence, there is no reason whatsoever. Moreover, she is supported physically and mentally," he explained.

"I think the essence of our answer is the same, that the plaintiff, Mrs. crypto wilson, committed a disobedient consensus against her husband," he concluded.
