All England 2024: 5 Indonesian Representatives Qualify For Round Of 16
JAKARTA A total of five Indonesian representatives managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the All England 2024.
The series of matches for the first round of this prestigious event will start on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, until Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri were the first representatives of Indonesia to advance to the round of 16 of the oldest event in the world with the Super 1000 level.
They secured tickets after winning two straight games 21-18 and 21-16 over Scottish pair Alexander Dunn/Adam Hall.

The second ticket for Indonesia was secured by the men's singles Anthony Sinisuka Ginting. The owner of the bronze medal at the Tokyo 20202 Olympics eliminated China's Taipei representative, Lee Chiao-hao, two straight games 21-13 and 21-17.
The success of Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja mixed doubles was also obtained. This pair defeated fifth seed from China, Jiang Zhen Bang/Wei Ya Xin, with a score of 21-10 and 21-16.
The first half was also successfully passed by women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and women's singles Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.
Apri/Fadia continued their journey after winning 21-18 and 21-12 over Treesa Jolly/Gayatri Gopitandang. Meanwhile, Gregoria eliminated Singapore representatives, Yeo Jia Min, 21-13 and 21-14.
Unfortunately, the sweet journey of the five Indonesian representatives was not followed by the mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati.
Rehan/Lisa were eliminated after being beaten by the Hong Kong pair, Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet, through a tough match that lasted three games 14-21, 21-19, 18-21.
