Class X Students In Banyumas Arrested By Residents Bringing Sajam Type Egrek Sawit

BANYUMAS - A high school student was arrested by the police because he was caught carrying a sharp weapon on the side of the road in Kelapa Gading Village, Wangon, Banyumas Regency. The young man with the initials ADL (16) who was arrested was a class X student, from Lumbir, Banyumas Regency.

The Head of Banyumas Police, Kombes Edy Suranta Sitepu, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Adriansyah Rithas Hasibuan, said that a student was arrested for carrying a sharp weapon of the type of palm oil egrek of approximately 50 cm long.

"The sharp was brought allegedly with the aim of carrying out an attack between the TOS (Tikungan Of Slow) group against the GTA (Gili Turi Asik) group," said Kompol Adriansyah Rithas Hasibuan, Tuesday, March 12.

Adriansyah explained, on Monday, March 11, at 01.30 WIB, residents saw a group of children carrying weapons stopped on the side of the road in Kelapa Gading Village, Wangon District.

Finding this, residents approached them and found 1 (one) palm oil egrek bar which was suspected to be used by brawls between groups. The residents then secured it and handed it over to the police.

"Currently, we have secured the young man and his evidence, for his actions he was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951 concerning the Crime of Ownership of Sharp Weapons without rights," concluded the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit.
