Entering The Month Of Ramadan, DKI Satpol PP Intensive Patrols At Night Entertainment Places
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) has begun to carry out patrols to ensure that all entertainment venues comply with the rules related to policies during Ramadan.
According to the Head of the Section (Kasi) for Security and Public Order (Kamtribum) of West Jakarta Satpol PP Edison Butar Butar, the monitoring of entertainment venues adhered to the DKI Satpol PP Instruction and a circular letter from the DKI Tourism and Creative Economy Office issued on February 28, 2024.
"The supervision has been since yesterday during the first Tarawih. We participated in the circular of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency," said Edison in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Edison said the surveillance would be carried out on Wednesday night, March 13 considering that today it is still on holiday in the context of collective leave.
In the circular of the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency regarding the implementation of tourism businesses in the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 1445 H issued on February 28, 2024, certain tourism businesses must close on D-1 Ramadan.

"A certain type of tourism business must be closed one day before the holy month of Ramadan until one day after the second day of Eid al-Fitr, nightclubs, discotheques, steam baths, massage houses, manual, mechanical or electronic scarcity gaming arenas for adults," the circular wrote.
There are several other points in the circular which essentially are adjusted to Governor Regulation Number 18 of 2018 concerning the Implementation of Tourism Businesses.
"At the same time providing education to the owner or person in charge of tourism businesses and the community," the circular said.
