Integration Of Japek-Jalan Layang MBZ Pangkas Toll Road Travel Time
PT Jasa Marga said the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, which is integrated with the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover, was proven to have cut travel times by more than 60 percent.
Ria Marlinda Paallo, VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, said that this figure is a calculation in normal traffic conditions, using a digital map application by simulation if toll road users drive from the Cawang Interchange then use the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and continue their journey via Jalan Layang MBZ to Purwakarta.
In its calculation, road users will travel to Purwakarta with a distance of about 87.7 KM with a travel time of only one hour and seven minutes.
When compared with the trip to Purwakarta without using toll roads, road users will travel 98.1 km through Jalan Pantura with a longer travel time of three hours and two minutes.

In its service, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road which is integrated with the MBZ Flyover is also a solution to unravel the density of vehicles. So that it can restore the benefits of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road which is more efficient for users, both for close-distance road users and long-distance road users.
Judging from the infrastructure, the 38 KM long MBZ Flyover which stretches from KM 10 to KM 48 provides two lanes plus the shoulder of the road on both sides, both towards Jakarta and towards Cikampek.
The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is managed by PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), and the Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) Flyover which is managed by PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC).
PT JTT's Business Director, Pratomo Bimawan Putra, said that based on the calculation of the number of vehicles on one road segment at one time compared to the road capacity, in 2019, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 0.59 with an average travel speed of around 39.83 km/hour.
"Since the MBZ Flyover was operated, the speed on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road has improved, which is indicated by the distribution of vehicles," he said.
