Empty Land In The Rebo Landslide Market Area Overwhelmed Residents' Houses

JAKARTA - Landslides on vacant land belonging to residents of Jalan Kenanga Putra, RT 07/11, Kalisari Village, Pasar Rebo District, East Jakarta, occurred. One local resident's house was affected by landslides.

"The cause of the landslide was due to rain, the land shifted," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat, Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed, Tuesday, March 12.

The area affected by the landslide was a resident's house named Charles. A 6-meter-long landslide hit Charles' house.

"Luckily, it did not cause any damage. We deployed 3 rescue personnel. The situation is safe, it does not cause damage to residents' buildings," he said.

Furthermore, the landslide dredging was carried out by officers from the East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-Department (SDA) and PPSU. There were no casualties or injuries in this incident.

"The incident was discovered by the owner of the house who checked the back area of his house because it had heard ruins," he said.
