Hurricane Monica Rengget 4 Lives In South France

JAKARTA - Hurricane Monica claimed four lives in South France, Monday, March 11. According to media reports, floods destroyed the country's southern region over the weekend, and trapped a number of victims in their vehicles.

As quoted from Antara, Tuesday, March 12, a family of four people is said to have been trapped in a flood in the City of Dions in the Gard area. The mother of the family was rescued, but the two children were missing.

The rescue team then believed that the body they found on Monday morning was the father of the family.

Rescue operations are also underway to search for three missing people in Saint Martin-de-Valamas City, in the area adjacent to Ardeche.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, March 10, three bodies were found in Gard. The bodies consisted of a man trapped in his vehicle in Gagnieres Village, as well as two women in a vehicle that was swallowed by floods in the city of Goudargues.
