Six Days Of Operation, ETLE Drone Has 'Arrested' Thousands Of Traffic Violators
The operation of the ETLE drone is the mainstay of the Central Java Police Ditlantas in a candi traffic safety operation, which will be held on March 4-17, 2024. The device, flown unmanned, is said to be able to reach the location and record violations that cannot be committed through static ETLE or handheld.
Four regions or jurisdictions became land for the operation of the ETLE drone belonging to the Ditlantas Polda Central Java during the operation of the candi traffic safety. The jurisdiction is between the Semarang Polrestabes, the Banyumas Police, the Magelang Police and the Surakarta Police.
The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Satake Bayu Setianto, explained that during the six days of the operation, the ETLE drone had succeeded in capturing thousands of traffic violators.
"The data on the violations obtained are then validated and confirmed. The process is finally carried out by issuing a ticket sent to the address of the violator. The payment is through Briva," said Kombes Satake, in a written statement, Tuesday, March 12.
"The complete number of violation capture results through the ETLE drone will be known at the end of the operation. Currently it is still being collected," he added.
The Head of Humas explained that the ETLE drone is operated by a pilot who has been trained and has a certificate.
Compared to static and manual ETLE, the ETLE drone has a detailed advantage, as it is equipped with a camera that can clearly see several types of traffic violations.

"In fact, this camera can enlarge the image up to 12 times," said the Head of Humas.
According to the plan, the ETLE drone will also be deployed to a number of areas of Central Java to support the operation of the Ketupat Candi which will be held in April 2024.
This device will be used to monitor the situation on toll roads, traffic jams and black spot areas that are prone to traffic accidents.
"With this drone device, traffic congestion and other traffic problems can be monitored more easily. Although operating hours cannot be continuously due to battery capacity constraints. It must be replaced or recharged first," he said.
