Alleged Taspen Corruption Case, KPK Calls State Loss Reaches Hundreds Of Billions Of Rupiah
JAKARTA - The alleged corruption case that dragged the name of PT Taspen (Persero) for the 2019 fiscal year is still in the public spotlight. The KPK said the state suffered losses of hundreds of billions of rupiah.
"The state financial loss from the procurement has reached hundreds of billions of rupiah and the process of calculating the real value of the loss is being carried out," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri when confirmed in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Friday, March 8.
Ali explained that the alleged corruption case at PT Taspen (Persero) also involved a number of companies, but he could not reveal who and what the role of the corporation in the case was.
The spokesman with the background of the prosecutor also revealed that the KPK investigating team had named a number of parties as suspects in the case.
However, in accordance with the policy of the anti-corruption agency, the parties designated as suspects and the complete description of the case will be presented when the suspects are detained.

The KPK also announced that it had imposed prevention abroad on two people consisting of state officials and the private sector to remain in Indonesian territory for the sake of investigation.
Then regarding the investigation, the KPK investigating team searched five locations on Thursday (7/3), covering two houses in South Cipinang Besar, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, one house in Menteng District, Central Jakarta, one house in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta and one apartment unit in Belleza Apartment, South Jakarta.
During the search, a number of pieces of evidence were found and secured, including documents as well as records of financial investment, electronic devices and a sum of money in foreign currency denominations which are suspected to later explain the alleged actions of the suspects.
Meanwhile, two other locations were searched on Friday, namely the Office of a private party located at Office 8 Building SCBD, South Jakarta, and the Office of PT Taspen (Persero), Central Jakarta.
The Corruption Eradication Commission on Friday announced it had started an investigation into a suspected corruption case with a fictitious investment mode at PT Taspen (Persero).
Ali Fikri also invited the public to oversee the investigation and asked the public not to hesitate to report to the KPK if they had relevant information about the case.
"We will convey the progress of this investigation to the public and we invite them to be escorted," he said.
